Kate Winslet has long been in the limelight and has not only put out some of the best performances on-screen but has also stunned everyone with her charm on the red carpet. However, the Oscar-winning actress surprised everyone as she joined the cast of the 2022 film Avatar: The Way of Water at the film’s world premiere. The Avatar sequel marked her reunion with the Titanic director James Cameron.

Kate Winslet Joined the Premiere of Avatar 2 in 7 Years Old Gown
Kate Winslet once again worked with the Titanic director James Cameron in his sequel of the 2009 film, Avatar: The Way of Water. While her being a part of the highly anticipated sequel was big news in itself, she also became the center of attention during the film’s premiere as she walked down the red carpet in a show-stopping black, glittery Badgley Mischka gown.
She completed her look with silver teardrop earrings and rings in her hands and a simple updo. However, it wasn’t her first red carpet-appearance in the same dress and look. Winslet wore the gown for the first time at the world premiere of her 2015 comedy-drama, The Dressmaker, at the Toronto International Film Festival.
She was praised for establishing an unusual fashion statement on the red carpet, as Hollywood stars and celebrities do not usually use the same dress for multiple events. However, in the case of The Reader actress, she was not hesitant to show off the dress she loved.
While it was the first time she repeated a red carpet look, she opened up about the stress that comes with the dress fittings for these events. And so, she said that she decided to repeat dresses.

Kate Winslet Finds Dress Fitting Process Stressful
During a 2020 interview with Vanity Fair, Kate Winslet talked about attending award shows and the stress that comes with it. She also hinted that she might be repeating more red-carpet looks in the future.
The Dressmaker star shared that she finds the dress-fitting process before any major event stressful, saying,
“I don’t like having to squeeze my hot-and-bothered mum-on-the-school-run body randomly into a red carpet dress that I’m never going to wear again.”
Winslet further mentioned the time, money, and effort it takes to make a dress, only to be discarded after it’s worn once. Considering everything, the Revolutionary Road star stated that she had already decided that she would be repeating more dresses in the future.
